I am a PETRAS PhD student and my research is situated among the core themes of the NPD (New Product Development) for IoT including business process, business strategy, value creation, and digital innovation. My PhD research aims to develop an effective NPD (New Product Development) process for IoT products and services which will increase company value and turnover. I will be specifically looking at how the emergence of IoT affects the transformative shift for the economy and the company’s business strategy and processes. The research will conclude by suggesting a new development process for the IoT products and services.

I have obtained my BA in Arts and Crafts (Sookmyung Womens University, 2006) and MA in Design Strategy and Innovation (Brunel, 2012). From 2013-2016, I have had a wide range of public and commercial experience across sectors as a service designer in Korea. In particular, I worked on one of the government projects relating to developing a business model for the IoT services which peaked my curiosity in the IoT design and development processes. My PhD research would be the step forward to contribute to the IoT community.
