Laura Wareing (Morris) is the Research Associate on the Leapfrog Project, where she leads the co-design of tools, which takes place in co-design workshops with different groups of people, including young people and public sector professionals. Laura led the development of tools for young people and the Inspirer newspaper, which won a British Youth Council award for innovation.
Laura joined Imagination as a Graphic Designer for the New IDEAS project, a project that created innovative knowledge exchange toolkits, used independently by academic, creative industries and stakeholders. Laura designed the Hexagon Cards, which have been widely used inside the university and across the world.
Laura’s creative background includes a degree in Industrial Design and a Masters in Multidisciplinary Design Innovation, both from Northumbria University. She also has varied commercial experience, including product design for a leading baby product brand, concept design for Philips Innovation and has built and marketed the brand for a new brewery. Laura has won an RSA Design Directions award for sustainable future concepts.
Particular interests for Laura include; co-design, design for the public sector, service design, branding, marketing and the role of design in business.
