Leon's core interests relate to how technology can enable new relationships between users and designers and through this allow users to become more active in shaping our society, environment and media. This requires a radical change in the way we think about designers and designing.

This has led to the emergence of designing knowledge exchange as a research area. He is currently involved in 6 funded projects in this area. He is Director of Knowledge Exchange for the £4 million AHRC Creative Knowledge Exchange Hub and UK lead for the €4 million PROUD project looking at knowledge exchange through co-design

Playing with the Proud Identity

As the project continues, our design and branding agency, under the direction of the Capital D, our lead partners have instructed us to take the basic form of the PROUD logo and play with it. This is quite refreshing and also a neat way of sidestepping the endless quest for perfection from the 15 or so designers that are part of the Proud project team across the NW of Europe. Here are some of the different versions so far but I suspect...Read full article
