PROUD Project Meeting in Paris

The newly appointed Design Managers for Lancaster University and The Storey Creative Industries Centre presented the concept for the Lancaster Design Innovation Hub to partners from across North West Europe

Date Published: 17 February 2012

The ‘Two Locations: One Centre’ concept aims to facilitate the flow of ideas and innovative knowledge exchange between community, academia and business through hosting co design events, workshops and masterclasses with end users to develop new services, products and spaces as part of the PROUD local design challenges.

A highlight of the trip was meeting the other partners and hearing about their local co-design challenges. The Lancaster team saw a particular synergy with Kortrijk’s Budha Island project, where there may be an opportunity to work transnationally by recruiting their Design Experts to work on Lancaster’s design challenges.
