I am a media professional and a lecturer, skilled in teaching and mentoring learners in disciples related to Digital Media. I hold a bachelor’s in computer arts and a master’s in communication design, with all my working experience having been in higher education institutions in Pakistan, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Australia. Apart from teaching, I have an experience in developing and implementing engagement strategies that include conducting market research, gaining feedback, producing digital content, and maximizing the reach to ensure the learners, and the institutions are represented in the best possible way. I have worked on various such projects that have required communications between internal and external stakeholders. Moreover, I have organized events, art exhibitions, guest talks, written and directed theatre plays while engaging learners and have built effective collaboration programs. I am currently pursuing my PhD in Design, with my research focused on exploring practices of data storytelling, redefining the term and examining its potential across different sectors. My recent research project explores experimental data storytelling approaches in patient centred care pertaining to patient satisfaction. It involves a qualitative assessment of the existing practices and key indicators in patient care such as doctor-patient communication, treatment compliance, and treatment pathways. Additionally, the research explores the potential of data storytelling practices by developing experimental data stories aimed at enhancing patient engagement and improving health outcomes.
