The Centre for Ageing Research seminar: ‘Ageing Playfully: Inspiring ways to work with people with dementia’ held on Wednesday 7th June 2017 at Lancater University provided insights on the value and use of playfulness for caring with people with dementia.
Following two very stimulating talks by Prof Cathy Treadaway and Mr John Killick over 20 caregivers were invited in a series of interactive sessions to share their experience of using playful ways to support people with dementia as well as the benefits and challanges of doing so.
The Ageing playfully cards developed by the project were also presented, reviewed and distributed to caregivers and seminar delegates.
