Personas provide key insights on home energy use

and people's emotional connection with electric appliances

Following the collection of the energy calendars, the resaerch team has produced a number of personas. The personas reveal interesting insights as to how different houesholds in the UK consume energy and emotional connection between home energy users  and home energy objects (electrical appliances)

The analysis of the personas shows that most of households believe that reducing energy use and being sustainable requires a collective approach (‘This will only work if we all do it ‘). Also several research participants highlight the need for learning how to use appliances only when we need them and not be wasteful.
