Thanks to our final year BA Design students, who wanted to hear from interesting designers from outside of the university who have done amazing things with their design skills, expertise and education in a range of occupations, we set up an External Speaker Series for February 2021. Here are the details:
- Andy Walmsley, Wash Studio– Monday, 8 February, 10-11.00
- Kate Shepherd, Future Collective– Friday, 12 March, 14-15.00 RESCHEDULED
- Emma Young, BBC– Friday, 26 February, 14-15.00
All sessions will take place on Teams [link here] and will be informal- we’ve asked speakers to talk about their careers and the role of design in those careers, among other things. We’ve also made time so students (and staff) can ask the speakers all manner of questions, like what design skills would be needed to work in film, what are the trends in design consultancy and how can I get an internship at the BBC.
