MAGE – A Digital Sandbox for Coastal Futures

MAGE – Morecambe Area Gaming Environment

MAGE is a portable playboard for future coastal change, immersing the public in nature-based decisions and solutions with real-time feedback. MAGE aims to bridge rigorous coastal forecasting with co-designed scenarios and to allow the public to interact through their choices of a range of nature-based solutions. MAGE is a digital sandbox to foster positive management practices, explain coastal change, and help with considerations for nature recovery. Developed by Paul Cureton and Lancaster researchers Rob Delaney, Runze Xia, Qianhui Lin, with external partners Luigi Mussardo and Elliot Hartley.
