Trying to produce a single definition of design research that encompasses all its potential methods and approaches is an impossible task as design researchers choose them to meet a particular context. That context can range in scale from at one end a thing through to spaces, services, systems, and up to complex systems of systems. This means design methods and approaches are constantly being evolved and within Imagination we are helping drive this through our practice.
This area is concerned with aspects of our research that helps evolve and create new methods and approaches for design that are suitable for the increasingly complex challenges we face.
