Best Paper Award for Cooper and Boyko

Rachel Cooper and Christopher Boyko received the Best Paper Award 2016 in Urban Design and Planning journal

Prof. Rachel Cooper OBE and Dr. Christopher Boyko (alongside their co-authors: two colleagues from the University of Birmingham – Prof. Chris Rogers and Joanne Leach – and two leading architects – Jim Eye OBE and Anna Woodeson) received the Best Paper Award 2016 for their article in Urban Design and Planning entitled, “Do sustainability measures constrain urban design creativity?” Christopher attended the awards ceremony at the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) in London on 7 October where Private Eye editor, Ian Hislop, gave a speech about his father’s connection to engineering. Sir John Armitt, current president of the ICE, presented the awards.
