Design Innovation Policy Workshop: Public Support for Design Innovation in the UK

DeEP host a high-level design innovation policy workshop in London attended by key UK stakeholders

ImaginationLancaster in collaboration with The Big Innovation Centre at The Work Foundation help a workshop which explored design innovation policies in the UK. EDII Leadership Board member and ImaginationLancaster Director Professor Rachel Cooper, and Big Innovation Centre Director Professor Birgitte Andersen – two of the partners in the DeEP project – convened the hands-on workshop in London for key experts on design and innovation policy in the UK. The workshop brought together key stakeholders to review the work of the DeEP project to-date. The DeEP project is focussing on approaches for evaluating existing policies and creating frameworks to measure future ones.

The workshop mapped the design innovation policy landscape in the UK and engaged participants in considering the key challenges faced by design innovation policy makers. The workshop provided a forum for discussion and debate regarding design innovation policy in the UK and identified some future policy directions.
