I am a design researcher, maker, strategist, and Lecturer in Smart Home Futures within the School of Design. I am currently the Director of Strategy for Design Undergraduate Studies, a position that allows me to enhance our students’ experiences during their studying time within The School of Design. I am also the Director of the LICA Festival, a one-week-long exhibition celebrating the work of our graduates across all disciplines in LICA.

As a researcher, I focus on designing creative experiences (outputs/activities) aimed at making academic knowledge accessible to the wider public. I do this through the lens of technology, asking important questions about how we interact with technology and its impact on our lives. Adopting a speculative, practice-based approach, the technologies I engage with vary greatly, from IoT and Smart Homes to AR and VR. I have exhibited my research at The Tate Modern, The V&A London, FACT Liverpool, The Festival of Social Science, The Cheltenham Festival, Bluedot Festival and The Festival of Futures.

You can find a list of my publications here.
